Business Development Manager


Sapienza Consulting is recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager to be based in Tokyo, Japan. Under the direction of the Business Development and Sales Group Manager, you will be engaged in business development and sales activities related to data extraction using satellite images and utilization of that data. You’re required to improve a position of the company in the market and to contribute to our business growth.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager

  • Establishing good relationships with existing customers, identifying business opportunities, negotiation and closing business projects
  • Proposal activities in coordination with internal engineering divisions to promote business development projects with partner companies
  • Attending events and collecting information, etc. for project development with partner companies
  • Visiting potential partner companies and provide presentations on solutions and services that meet and anticipate future needs of customers
  • Other related business

Profile of the Business Development Manager

  • High motivation and strong ownership to build and foster direct relationships with customers
  • To keep motivation toward the dynamic environment of a venture company
  • Business communication skills in English
  • Mobility to go on business trips (including overseas)
  • More than 3-5 years of sales related experience
  • Fruitful experience of negotiation with global customers
  • Successful experience to achieve results by understanding new product specifications and markets in a short period of time
  • Coordination experience to work with different departments in the company
  • Although not essential preference will be given to people living in Japan or speak >intermediate Japanese
